CLEARRAY Active Oxygen™

CLEARRAY Active Oxygen™ is Jacuzzi’s built-in water purification system — it works quietly in the background between chemical treatments, so your water stays cleaner with less manual dosing.

  • Runs a two-stage process: water is first injected with a low dose of ozone, then passed under a UV-C bulb, triggering a reaction (advanced oxidation) that unlocks active oxygen
  • That active oxygen keeps breaking down contaminants after treatment, pushing residue toward the filter for removal
  • Jacuzzi states the system can neutralize up to 99.9% of waterborne pathogens and contaminants within seconds of exposure to the UV-C light
  • Reduces the amount of chlorine needed by up to 75% compared to a chlorine-only sanitizing routine
  • Standard equipment on all current Jacuzzi hot tub models, not an upgrade you have to add on

Fewer chemicals also means less chlorine smell and gentler water on skin and eyes.

Illuminated Waterfall

Jacuzzi builds an LED-backlit waterfall into most of its hot tub collections. It’s a soft, controlled cascade positioned to flow over your neck and shoulders rather than splash into the tub.

  • Backlit with LEDs so the water glows as it falls, adding a visual centerpiece day or night
  • Can be switched on or off independently from the jets, so you can add or remove it from your soak whenever you like
  • Named and styled differently by collection — for example, the J-300™ Collection’s “Water Rainbow®” waterfall and the J-400™ Collection’s “WaterColour™” waterfall(s)
  • Beyond ambiance, the flow helps keep water circulating, moving debris and chemicals toward the filter
  • Higher-end collections, like the J-LX®, pair the waterfall with an infinity-edge design for a more dramatic pour

Waterfall style, number, and placement vary by collection — check your model’s spec sheet for the exact version included.

SmartTub™ System

SmartTub® is Jacuzzi’s connected hot tub platform — a hardware upgrade plus an app that lets you manage your spa remotely instead of walking out to the control panel every time.

  • Adjust temperature, jets, and lighting, and lock the spa against unauthorized use, all from the SmartTub® app on your phone
  • Works with voice assistants (Siri, Alexa, Google Assistant) and wearables (Apple Watch, Android Wear) for hands-free control
  • Smart Heat Mode learns your usage patterns and can cut standby heating costs by up to 25%; Vacation Mode further reduces heating while you’re away
  • Sends power outage alerts and includes freeze/overheat protection, plus a Power Estimator to track energy use and carbon footprint over time
  • Requires a hardware upgrade purchase and is compatible with 2016-and-newer Jacuzzi hot tub models; connects over cellular rather than relying solely on home Wi-Fi

Confirm SmartTub® compatibility and any hardware cost with your dealer before assuming it’s included on a given model.

How Often Should I Clean My Filter?
A clean and functioning filter is key to an operational filtration system, as it catches and removes dirt and debris, keeping the water clean and free of impurities. We recommend rinsing the filter every two weeks with fresh water from the hose or kitchen sink. You can also use this time to spray it down with a filter cleaner and then continue to rinse. Filter cleaning nozzles are available that can be attached to the end of a hose, which can help water to better reach the nooks and crannies of your filter. Soak your filter overnight in a bucket filled with water and a small amount of filter cleaner every two months to remove deep-down debris. We recommend replacing your hot tub filter annually to ensure a fully-functional filtration system.
How often you change your hot tub water can depend greatly on how often the spa is used, the quality of water used to fill it and how well the water is maintained. As a general rule of thumb, we recommend draining, cleaning and refilling the hot tub every three to four months for an optimal operation.
    What is Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy is a therapeutic technique that harnesses the healing properties of water. The combination of heat, buoyancy and massage helps to relax muscles, ease sore joints, improve circulation, and reduce muscle tension. Used by healthcare professionals all around the world, hydrotherapy can help to improve sleep patterns, reduce stress, ease aches and pains, aid in post-injury recovery, and soothe sore joints, among many other health benefits.
    • Test your hot tub water with test strips once or twice a week.
    • Treat your hot tub water accordingly based on the readings from the test strips.
    • Clean the filter every two weeks with water from the hose.
    • Drain, clean and fill the hot tub once every three to four months.

What Size Hot Tub Should I Buy?

The size of your hot tub should reflect your intended use for it. Will it cater to the needs of the entire family? Is it meant just for you and your significant other? Or do you enjoy hosting elaborate backyard parties? Your lifestyle and layout of your backyard can help you determine if you would like to invest in a smaller or larger hot tub.
Most hot tub brands have models available in the following sizes and capacities: 2-3 seats, 4-5 seats, 5-6 seats, 6 or more seats. For a better idea of how big or small our hot tubs are, visit our showroom in person today.

How Much Do Hot Tubs Cost?

You’ll probably spend more on your daily cup of coffee. Hot tub costs can differ based on climate, model, and usage, but typical monthly electrical costs are in the $10 to $20 range. Plus, when you buy a hot tub that uses quality materials and the latest technology, you’ll save on maintenance, energy costs, and the expense of replacing costly salt water hot tub systems in the long run.

How Do You Install A Hot Tub?

You need to have a proper foundation and meet any electrical requirements. Your Jacuzzi® authorized dealer will walk you through the process and connect you with an expert to install your hot tub. See what to expect in the video below.

Here are a few things you can do to ensure installation and setup goes smoothly:

Check your HOA, city, and county rules and obtain any permits necessary.
Decide on a foundation that supports your hot tub, ensures proper drainage, and looks good.
Choose the perfect location, and remember to leave room for maintenance and entertaining.
Keep our Pre-Installation Checklist handy for reference.

Is Maintenance On Hot Tubs Difficult?

Thanks to advanced water management and filtration systems, hot tub maintenance is easier than ever—routine tasks take just a few minutes a week. When we surveyed current owners about basic hot tub maintenance, nearly all of them said it was easy! Here’s a quick summary of how to maintain a hot tub:

Water: Check the chemical levels weekly with test strips and adjust them by adding the appropriate products per your owner’s manual—no chemistry expertise necessary. Drain and refills are only needed every 3–4 months, based on use.

Filter: Rinse and clean filters with a garden hose or filter flosser once per month. Replace as needed.

Cover: Use a cover to help keep your water warm and clean. It will protect your hot tub from debris and weather elements.

“Love our tub. It’s so easy to take care of!”

    –Jenny, Winnipeg, MB, Canada

Will We Actually Use Our Hot Tub?

Industry research shows that more than 76% of owners use their hot tub at least two times per week. Another survey found 98% of Jacuzzi® Brand hot tub owners would recommend purchasing one to their friends and family. Current owners will certainly tell you it’s worth it!

“This was a great buy, my whole family is enjoying it. Soon it will be filled with many friends and neighbors.”
